Companions of St. Philip Neri House
The companions of St. Philip Neri House are laity (men and women) who aspire to live the charism of St. Philip Neri in their daily lives and according to their state in life.
The companions of the Community of St. Philip Neri House includes both Catholic men and women who seek to grow in their knowledge of the the Faith by deepening it through the charism of St. Philip Neri.
Companions do not take vows nor make any sort of canonical public commitment as associates of the Community of St. Philip Neri House. Companions simply choose to foster the Philip Neri charism in their daily lives. Any member of the laity, diocesan priests or religious may be ‘companions’ of St. Philip Neri Community and embrace the charism of St. Philip Neri.
The Priests and Brothers of St. Philip Neri House facilitate the spiritual journey with the companions through regular monthly Recollection Days. The Recollection Days are times for the companions to set aside worldly concerns and take time-out for a few hours in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, listening to a meditative reflection offered by one of the members of the Community of St. Philip Neri House, personal prayer/quiet time, along with the opportunity for Confession.
